Learn about tools and techniques to create electronic hardware, software, and small things mechanical.
I’m Zapmaker – my day job is writing code in Java and C++, but my education is in electrical engineering and I’m a closet mechanical engineer. Put all this together and you may get some cool results. Hopefully you’ll find these pages interesting, inspiring and educational.
Seattle Mini Maker Faire
Hopefully those of you in the Puget Sound area had a chance to visit the Seattle Mini Maker Faire Saturday and Sunday June 8th and 9th 2013. I had two Shapeoko CNC mills setup and finally got my safety box placed around the main mill at 3pm Sunday (sigh). I was able to make some coasters out of cork for the lucky late few. Next time I will try harder to line up volunteers as I needed help answering questions during some final adjustments that needed making, but I was busy answering questions (which to me was higher priority). I did finally create a document for Sunday that gave details for those I couldn’t speak with.
Overall a lot of fun – good information exchange – learned some important new things and shared good info – and did milling demos!
